For sale is a beautiful slice of polished Ammolite Shell artfully wrapped in a tension forged sterling silver wire wrap. This is a wonderful piece that flashes with a rainbow of colors. A slice of a fossilized shell, this is truly a unique material and the pictures do not do it justice. The play and flash of colors will make it stand out against any outfit. My wire work is all done by me in a tension forging technique using a hammer and anvil. I have been using this technique for almost 17 years with great results. I call it tension forging because all that holds the piece securely in the wrap is the tension of the wire. It is a single piece of wire and there is no glue or solder added making it exceedingly organic while still remaining very secure.
