About Me

My name is Angela Schanfish and I am the creator and artist of the jewelry on this website. I have been in the gem and mineral business for my entire life and have been making my tension forged wire wraps for over 16 years. My tension forged jewelry is made with a hammer and anvil technique using just one piece of wire and no glue or solder, the stone is held in place with only the tension of the wire.

I truly love making jewelry and have been around gems and minerals since i was born. My family owns a Rock Shop called Noema Gems that is located in Austinburg Ohio. I have my Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America and have traveled the country doing gem and mineral shows since i was a little girl. In addition to this website I also have a business facebook Angela Schanfish Custom Creations and I travel around doing local fine art fairs and craft shows.
