On sale today is a beautiful Oco Geode Slice artfully wrapped in a tension forged sterling silver wire wrap. This is a wonderful stone that has a lovely dark outer color that is complimented by the dazzling crystals formed all around the inner ring of the geode. True to most geodes it is hollow on the inside which makes it truly unique as a pendant as you can see the natural geode shape without the excess weight and bulk. The dramatic color is highlighted by the swirling waves of sterling silver which securely grasp the stone and really make it pop.
Metaphysically, oco geodes can be used to assist one in victory such as in recreational games, tournaments, and employment. They help bring courage, freedom, and innocence allowing free spirit attributes to become one with your actions.
My wire work is all done by me in a tension forging technique using a hammer and anvil. I have been using this technique for almost 17 years with great results. I call it tension forging because all that holds the piece securely in the wrap is the tension of the wire. It is a single piece of wire and there is no glue or solder added making it exceedingly organic while still remaining very secure.
