On sale today is a beautiful natural Copper Nugget artfully wrapped in a tension forged sterling silver wire wrap. This is a gorgeous flat shaped piece that has a wonderful deep copper color and vibrant warm glow that shimmers and flashes in the light. This lovely nugget is made even more spectacular by the sparkling waves of sterling silver that securely grasp it creating a perfect blend of metals.
Metaphysically, copper is known to be a strong energy conductor and as such it helps encourage the emotional and physical bodies to achieve alignment. It helps increase calmer behavior, clearer thinking, and is an overall booster of self esteem. In addition, wearing copper may facilitate the release of excess anger or resentment.
My wire work is all done by me in a tension forging technique using a hammer and anvil. I have been using this technique for almost 17 years with great results. I call it tension forging because all that holds the piece securely in the wrap is the tension of the wire. It is a single piece of wire and there is no glue or solder added making it exceedingly organic while still remaining very secure.
